Steve Chizmadia

Born and raised on Long Island, Steve’s been playing music since his teens as well as acting, writing plays and occasionally directing. He’s won a handful of songwriting competitions including Noel Paul Stookey’s “Music To Life” (Grand Prize) The WildFlower Music and Art Festival, Woody Guthrie Festival (3rd place).

Kevin Allen

Kevin Allen started playing the guitar at the age of fourteen and by sixteen was already teaching guitar. He is now a guitar teacher at Frank Toscano’s Music School in Astoria, NYC.

Paul McCarthy

Ubass player and uber geek.  Recently retired after working many years in computer technology.  Paul is now spending more time traveling. And, playing the bass and performing with The Flynns.

February Open Mic

Open Mic 2023

I was able to join the fun at Donovan’s Open Mic night after being away for several months. I really missed it. Some new talent is stopping by and is joined by some of the old regulars. Looking forward next months event.

March First Friday

Woodside Block Party

The Flynns were excited to participate in the block party held to celebrate the 55th anniversary of Donovan’s Pub of Woodside NY. Hundreds and hundreds of people turned out to celebrate Donovan’s Anniversary. Brian Barnwell awarded Donovan’s Pub a Proclamation for being an outstanding neighborhood partner.
